UConn became the last team to earn their spot in this year's Final Four, and they did so in very dramatic fashion over the No. 1 overall seed Duke. The Blue Devils held onto a two-point lead with 10 seconds left, needing just to inbounds the ball and wait to get fouled. Instead, they tried to break the Huskies' press. That led to a turnover at mid-court when a Cayden Boozer pass was blocked and recovered by UConn.
With 0.3 seconds remaining, Braylon Mullins became an NCAA Tournament icon, draining a deep three to give his team the improbable lead and the spot in Indianapolis next weekend. It was a wild conclusion to a game that Duke led by 19 in the first half.
The CBS broadcast crew of Ian Eagle, Grant Hill and Bill Raftery were on the call for Sunday night's game, and their reactions to the improbable comeback were incredible. Raftery, who is not new to the chaos of March Madness, was utterly stunned.
Duke alum Hill -- who was part of his own miracle moment with the long outlet pass to Christian Laettner in 1992 -- couldn't believe what he was seeing. An iconic March moment.
